Oman eVisa for Saudi Arabia Citizens is now available. With the introduction of an online visa by the Royal Oman Police in 2018, entering Oman has become much easier for a number of foreign travelers.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), therefore, the Oman eVisa requirements for GCC countries apply to Saudi Arabia citizens.
Recently, the Royal Oman Police’s Directorate General of Passports and Residence has simplified the process of travel for citizens of GCC countries who wish to come to Oman. Now any GCC resident is able to apply for an eVisa to Oman regardless of their job category.
Travelers can apply for an online visa to visit Oman for tourist purposes. There are two options to choose from: a single-entry visa valid for 30 days and a multiple-entry permit that stays effective for 365 days and allows its holders to enter Oman numerous times.
The process of applying is intuitive and straightforward: citizens of Saudi Arabia provide their personal and travel information together with the required documents, make the payment, and wait for the approved Oman eVisa to be sent to their email address.
Upon arrival in Oman, it is necessary to present a paper copy of the eVisa and a valid passport for officials to check. You will get a stamp on your passport containing the arrival date and the date by which you should leave the territory of Oman.
Oman electronic visa application
You must be outside Oman to apply for an electronic visa. Prepare your documents and a working device to begin the visa application process:
- Choose the visa type you want to obtain.
- Fill out the visa application form. It will request some personal, contact, and travel details.
- Check the information provided. It mustn’t contain any mistakes or irrelevant information.
- Proceed with the payment. You must cover the processing fee using one of the online payment options available.
- Wait for the decision. If your visa is approved, you will receive an email with a PDF document of your tourist visa. You must print it out and bring your Oman visa to the entry point.

- a multiple-entry type with each stay as long as 30 days costs 149 Euro

Permitted period of stay
The Oman eVisa is available in two types – as a single-entry and a multiple-entry visa type.
Both types allow Saudi Arabia citizens to stay in Oman for up to 30 days. However, a single-entry permit is valid for 30 days, while a multiple-entry one stays effective for one year (12 months). During this period, holders of multiple-entry permits can enter Oman numerous times.

To apply for an Oman visa, Saudi Arabia citizens (as well as other GCC residents) must attach the following supporting documentation in the form of digital photos taken with a smartphone or PC camera:
- passport’s bio-data page (a passport must stay effective for a minimum of 6 months from the intended date of arrival)
- photo of the applicant’s face
- GCC visa
- applicant’s GCC ID
- effective travel insurance
Technical requirements
The online visa system requires you to have a functioning device (smartphone, laptop, PC, tablet) connected to the internet (mobile, hardwired, Wi-Fi), and enough financial means that can be used for online payment via debit/credit card, PayPal, or PayU.
